How to grow Dill:

Dill is an annula plant produced from seed. Like Coriander and Chervil it has a tap root and does not like to be transplanted. Sow the seeds straight into the soil and thin out or sow in egg cartons filled with potting mix. Plant the egg cups straight into the garden without distrubing the roots.
Dill short-lived and consecutive sowings are needed. It self seeds easily.

What parts of Dill to use:

The leaves and soft stems are used.
If cut down to 5cm dill will reward you with fresh young regrowth.

How to cook with Dill:

Dill should be cut with scissors or cut finely with a sharp knife.
Heat will destroy its flavour so add to hot dishes just before serving.
